We are looking for someone interested in working as a personal assistant to a man in his 30s who uses a wheelchair and has cerebral palsy. The role requires physical presence and practical support, but also a fine sense of when to be helpful – and when to simply be there. You don't need previous experience, but you should be reliable, attentive, and have a good sense of integrity. He lives in Gislaved with his family. There is a dog in the home. Working hours are mostly daytime, weekdays. As an assistant, you will make a difference in his life. The work includes everything from personal care, intimate hygiene, mobility assistance, use of various aids, training, help with activities, and accompanying him to day activities, etc. He is functionally blind, with limited vision, and the role will also require you as a personal assistant to provide verbal sight interpretation. The workplace is his home, day activities, and wherever he is otherwise. Working hours are mostly daytime, Monday–Friday. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? You don't need to have any healthcare training or extensive experience for this position – the most important thing is who you are as a person. We are looking for someone who is reliable, empathetic, and calm in manner, and who can take responsibility without being controlling. This is a job for someone who enjoys working independently, but who always puts another person's needs at the center. You have a genuine interest and sense of care for people. You must be able to speak fluent Swedish, as this is a job where good communication is very important.
