We are now looking for a warm, caring, and committed personal assistant for our amazing elementary school-aged child who has multiple disabilities and attends school. This is a job for you if you enjoy working with people, value close relationships, and want to be an important part of a child's daily life and development. ABOUT THE JOB The position is full-time, during daytime hours, and primarily during school time. You will be close to the child throughout the day and provide important support at school and in situations where they need help and security. The work includes: providing support and assistance based on their individual needs being present during the school day assisting with personal care and practical tasks creating a sense of security, participation, and joy following their routines and communication methods being attentive to their signals and needs working collaboratively with family, school, and others around them WHO IS THE CHILD? Above all, they are a unique little person with an enormous zest for life. They are happy, social in their own way, and have a fantastic ability to spread energy to those around them. They love when people are present, secure, and genuinely interested in them. They have multiple disabilities, so it's important that you feel comfortable working with a child who has significant needs and can maintain calm even when situations become more challenging. You don't need to know everything from the start. What matters most is that you have a warm heart, respect for their dignity, patience, and a willingness to get to know them. We will teach you what you need to know. WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS: secure and responsible warm, calm, and responsive patient and flexible respectful and empathetic comfortable with personal care good at collaborating able to build trust easily sees possibilities rather than limitations is the child's voice and hands Experience with personal assistance, autism, epilepsy, or multiple disabilities is a plus, but personal suitability carries significant weight.
