What We Do and Believe The Reception Unit for Adults and Financial Assistance consists of 16 employees and is part of the Employment and Social Services Administration. You will join the reception group, which comprises five social workers. We work closely together and value good collaboration, knowledge sharing, and respectful treatment—both with those we meet and with each other. We also value a good balance between work and leisure. About the Position We are seeking a social worker for the reception group for adults and financial assistance. This position is a parental leave replacement from December 2026 through May 2028. As a social worker in reception, you are often the first contact for people seeking support from social services. You will work with, among other things: - preliminary assessments regarding domestic violence, harmful use and addiction, financial assistance, and social psychiatry - first applications for financial assistance, including basic investigation and initial decisions - assessment of eligibility - collaboration with other units, operations, and actors. The work is varied, and you need to be able to switch between different types of cases and meet people in many different life situations. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who: - has a degree in social work - has experience with government authority work within social services in one or more of our areas - expresses yourself well in speech and writing - is confident, clear, and responsive - can work independently while also valuing collaboration - has the ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel and think solution-oriented. It is meritorious if you have: - experience with reception work within social services - experience with the LifeCare system - training in FREDA - LVM training - MI training or other training in conversation methods. You will often meet people in crisis or with complex life situations. Therefore, it is important that you can build trust, remain calm, and treat people with respect and professionalism.
