Welcome to the Psychiatry, Rehabilitation and Habilitation operational area! Our mission is to offer all residents of Kronoberg region specialized psychiatric care, rehabilitation, and habilitation. Care should be delivered in collaboration with other stakeholders within and outside Region Kronoberg, with integrated care pathways and patient participation in focus. Now we're looking for you to work as a speech-language pathologist at our Child and Youth Habilitation service.

DUTIES
With us you will work in a multidisciplinary team where you play an important role in mapping, assessing, planning, and implementing interventions for the child/young person. Your work will include both direct interventions for the child and support to guardians/those in the child's environment.
As a speech-language pathologist you will meet children and young people with speech, language, and communication difficulties, oral motor difficulties, and eating and swallowing difficulties. Your important task will be to use your speech-language pathology expertise to map, diagnose, and treat.
A central part of the work is coaching parents and others in the child's network from your speech-language pathology perspective. At Child and Youth Habilitation, speech-language pathologists lead various types of group interventions, such as AAC-focused activities, lectures on language and eating difficulties, and play groups with a focus on communication.
As an employee, you have an important role in the habilitation service's continued development.
As a new speech-language pathologist with us, you will receive an introduction from the team and a speech-language pathology colleague according to an onboarding program, as well as regular meetings with speech-language pathology colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS
We're looking for you who is a licensed speech-language pathologist. A driver's license is a requirement as travel within the region occurs.
You need to be creative and resourceful since our mission often involves finding alternative solutions. Since multidisciplinary teamwork is an important foundation for habilitation's interventions, we place great emphasis on collaboration skills and good communication.
It is an asset if you have experience with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) and have previously worked with children and young people and/or people with functional disabilities.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
