About Us In Gothenburg, we combine modern maternity care for expectant and new parents with warm teamwork and a strong focus on research. Now we are seeking more midwives who want to contribute to a safe and positive experience during childbirth while having the opportunity to grow in your professional role. We are midwives, physicians, nursing assistants, and nurses at the Nordic region's largest obstetric facility, Östra Hospital. Approximately 10,000 babies are born here each year. We provide care during pregnancy, childbirth, and the immediate postpartum period, and we operate several outpatient clinics. We have a well-functioning home postpartum care service. We are a large facility, so we have divided our operations into three smaller units—three labor and delivery wards with attached postpartum wards. At one of these units, you will work in the process with a holistic view of the birthing person and their family. You will work in a team with midwives, nursing assistants, obstetricians, unit leaders, nurses, and healthcare assistants.
