We are now seeking a personal assistant for a position of approximately 80%, with start date in August. About Me: I am a cheerful and active 12-year-old boy living with my mom, dad, and two younger brothers in Linköping. During the day I attend school, but after school, in the evenings, and on weekends I need support from my assistants. Life with me is usually full speed ahead. I love being outdoors, doing fun things, and staying active. Some of my favorite activities are jumping on a trampoline, swimming, listening to music, swinging, playing with my younger brothers, taking short walks in the forest and around the neighborhood, and riding a cargo bike when the weather permits. I also really enjoy going to the swimming hall. I also participate in activities such as music therapy and Händelseriket. As my assistant, you will accompany me to these activities and be an important part of my daily life. Who Are You? I'm looking for someone who has kept their childlike spirit and enjoys playing, being silly, and doing activities. You are positive, engaged, and comfortable being active. At the same time, you are calm, responsible, and able to work independently. Since I don't communicate with spoken words, you need to be attentive, observant, and have the patience to wait for me. I express myself through body language and sounds, and it's important that you can read my signals and notice how I'm doing. I understand spoken language in simpler instructions and phrases. Often, however, I am clear about what I want. I also want you to be positive and able to help me learn new things. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, personal chemistry, and ability to collaborate. About the Assignment: Your workplace is where I am located, based from my home in Linköping. You will help me in all everyday situations and accompany me on leisure activities, outings, and other adventures. I have a cognitive disability and need help performing all activities of daily living as well as support with interaction and communication. I need significant active help with eating, using the toilet, getting dressed, and playing. I can walk on my own but sometimes need support to get around. For longer distances I use a wheelchair or all-terrain vehicle. Sometimes I become extra energetic and active and then I run, so you need to be in good physical condition and be able to keep up as well as help me avoid situations that could pose risks. Requirements: Good physical fitness Non-smoker Able to swim Good knowledge of the Swedish language Meritorious: Experience working in care and support Experience working with children Working Hours and Employment Level: The position comprises approximately 80%. Working hours vary but are typically: Weekdays 2:00 PM–7:30 PM Weekends 10:00 AM–6:00 PM Start Date: Start date is mid or late August, by agreement. Salary: Fixed hourly rate by agreement. Other compensation is provided according to collective agreement.
