Social Services and Employment Description At Social Services and Employment (SoA) in Arvika, there is great commitment, a solution-oriented approach, openness to new thinking combined with close leadership with twelve managers. As part of our work with our work environment and the principle of close leadership, SoA has been further developed and established two departments: Children and Youth, and Adults. In the Children and Youth department, there are units for Child and Family, Young Adults and Intensive Interventions, Family Law and Foster Care, Early and Preventive Support, and Youth Employment Initiative. We are now seeking a temporary social worker for the Family Law and Foster Care Unit. The unit is new, with two former groups merging into one unit. We use mentorship and you will be assigned a mentor upon employment. You will work closely with colleagues and decision-making management, and the work is characterized by openness and community. We work from a conscious child's rights perspective and use BBIC as our case management and documentation system. We work in the Lifecare data system. We regularly attend new training and have both internal and external supervision. Responsibilities Since the unit is new, work is underway to examine whether and how work tasks that currently exist in the positions can be redistributed to achieve an integrated care chain from recruitment of service providers to follow-up of care. The work includes following up on care for children and young people placed in foster homes. You will collaborate with other actors such as schools, health and medical services. The work involves supporting and supervising foster families, network homes, and other service providers. Also follow-up on other interventions that placed children may have, such as needs-assessed personal support, contact family/contact person. The work includes handling investigations and reports concerning placed children. The position includes travel as some of our placements are located outside the county. The work includes some documentation, so it is an advantage if this is something you enjoy and are comfortable doing. The position may include on-call duty 3-4 weeks per year together with an additional social worker and manager. Qualifications You have a degree in social work (socionomexamen). It is meriting if you have experience with government authority work and experience within social services. It is also good if you have worked with BBIC. Since we have a broad and experienced work group with considerable expertise in the field of children and youth, it doesn't matter if you are old, young, new, or experienced. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. A category B driver's license for manual transmission is required. We warmly welcome your application today!
