The Oncology Department at Södersjukhuset is a comprehensive oncology operation with three oncology clinics, medical treatment, radiation therapy, inpatient ward, hereditary clinic, and clinical research unit. The department consists of approximately 200 employees and is primarily focused on oncology treatment of breast cancer, prostate cancer, and colorectal cancer. Our goal is to provide individualized and modern cancer care with high quality and strong patient focus. The operation is characterized by good teamwork and smooth and safe patient flows. The clinic is part of the Breast Center SÖS which also includes surgery, mammography, and pathology. Work is conducted in close collaboration through multidisciplinary conferences. Job Description Work at the Oncology Breast Clinic includes clinic work with scheduled patient visits, medication treatments, follow-up, and telephone advice. You may also participate in doctor's clinics and assist with various examinations. Many patients are followed for extended periods and need support and information throughout their treatment. As a contact nurse, you are the person patients turn to first regarding follow-up, information, advice, and support about planned and ongoing treatment. We work very much in teams around patients with professionals such as nursing assistant, nurse, physiotherapist, counselor, and doctor. The clinic's operations play a crucial role for the department's patients. Our goal is to make their care smooth by offering the right support at the right time.
