JOB DUTIES Substitute pedagogical staff member for a small central teaching group grades 7-9 Do you want to work in a setting where you truly make a difference for students who need a smaller context to succeed? Lärandearena is a central special education teaching group within Basic School Support in Enköpings kommun. We support students in grades 4-9 who need a smaller and more adapted context to succeed in school. We are currently in a recruitment process where the facility's needs may be met either through a teaching position or through a substitute role as a student assistant/social pedagogue. Therefore, we welcome applications from people with different competencies and experience working with children and young people. Depending on the applicant's qualifications, the position may be structured as a substitute teaching role primarily in English and social studies, or as a student assistant/social pedagogue. As a pedagogical staff member, you are an important part of students' entire school day. You contribute to structure, predictability, and meaningfulness, and support students during transitions, social situations, and teaching activities. You help students get started, participate in instruction, and manage their day according to their abilities. The role involves close and trusting collaboration with colleagues, students, and guardians. We are looking for someone with a strong interest in working with children and young people where relationship-building is a central part of the role. Experience with students with ADHD, problematic school absenteeism, or other support needs is a merit, as is experience with teaching or the ability to support in various subjects when needed. As a person, you are curious, secure, and stable. You have a low-affect approach, are good at building trust, and meet students with calm, patience, and respect. You see possibilities where others see obstacles, are solution-focused and unpretentious. You believe in students' ability to succeed, contribute where needs arise, and consider the bigger picture. Above all, you want to help create a meaningful and functioning school day for each student. Personal qualities weigh more heavily than education and experience in this position. We offer a dedicated team, support from a special educator, and the opportunity to make a real difference for students who need it most. This position is a three-month substitute role with the possibility of extension. QUALIFICATIONS You are calm, stable, and controlled in pressured or challenging situations. You maintain a balanced perspective on situations and focus on the right things. You have empathetic ability and can understand someone else's perspective or situation without taking on their emotions. You are relationship-oriented, outgoing, and socially engaged in your work. You make connections and maintain relationships. You collaborate well with others and relate to them in a responsive and flexible way. You listen, communicate, and resolve collaboration difficulties or conflicts in a constructive manner. You are secure, stable, and have self-awareness. You distinguish between the personal and professional and act in ways adapted to the situation. You have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and people's different conditions. You adapt the way you communicate your message to the recipient. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: Start date: 2026-08-17 or by agreement, End date: 2026-11-13.
