Your Assignment
As an environmental health inspector, you work with inspections and case handling within the health protection area according to the Environmental Code.
This position is a substitute for the regular inspector's parental leave. To create good conditions for the assignment, handover takes place both before and after the leave.
Your work tasks include:
Conducting inspections of schools, residences, and hygienic facilities.
Handling complaint cases, for example regarding indoor environment and noise.
Handling reports within the health protection area and local regulations.
Providing information and guidance to businesses and the public.
Making decisions and documenting cases in accordance with applicable legislation.
Your Experience
We are looking for someone who:
Has a university or higher education degree in environment and health protection or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
Has knowledge of the Environmental Code and other relevant legislation.
Understands what exercising public authority entails.
Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
Has a B-class driving license.
It is meritorious if you have:
Experience with inspections according to the Environmental Code.
Knowledge of digital case management systems; we use Ecos.

About the Workplace
In the inspection unit, twelve inspectors work with inspections according to the Environmental Code and the Food Act. Two of the inspectors work with health protection.
You are responsible for your own cases but work closely with colleagues. We hold joint inspection meetings every week where we discuss current issues and share experiences.
We continuously work to develop our working methods through digital solutions, administrative support, and improved processes for case handling and inspections.
