Ätradalsskolan is a middle school with approximately 260 students in grades 7-9, located in Timmele in the northern part of Ulricehamns kommun. The school consists of a large one-story building and a gymnasium. It includes, among other things, a library, a dining hall where our kitchen staff prepare all food served at the school, a staffed cafeteria where students can socialize during breaks, and a staffed caretaker's office. The school has three work teams, with each team assigned to a grade level. Each grade level is divided into four classes. The work teams collaborate on all students in the school. Each work team is led by a team leader who also serves on the school's management team together with the principal and school administrator. At Ätradalsskolan, we actively work to develop students' reading and writing skills and to promote increased school attendance. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a mathematics teacher, you will help plan math lessons and contribute to driving and developing mathematics instruction at the school. We place great emphasis on broadening the foundation in the classroom to make instruction accessible and adapted for all students. The role also includes serving as a class teacher with a focus on pedagogical work. Class teachers collaborate with the school's two mentors who focus on social work and efforts to increase attendance. This position is a temporary role with the possibility of extension. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a certified teacher with authorization to teach mathematics at the middle school level. Certification in additional subjects, preferably science or technology, is a merit. It is also an advantage if you have previous experience teaching at the middle school level. In your work, you demonstrate strong collaboration skills by listening, communicating, and handling any conflicts in a constructive manner. You are driven by seeing students develop and reach their goals, and you have a strong commitment to meeting each student according to their individual needs and circumstances. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work in an efficient and structured way. Both as a person and in your professional role, you are calm, confident, and stable. You have the ability to create and maintain professional relationships and can distinguish between the personal and professional in your role as a teacher. Employment Form: Fixed-term employment.
