DUTIES Would you like to work in one of our school kitchens and contribute to nutritious and delicious meals for children and students? We are now seeking substitutes for our kitchens within the Children and Education Department. As a substitute in kitchen and meal service operations, you will become an important part of our kitchen team. We seek both those with cooking experience and those who would like to work with other kitchen tasks, such as serving, dishwashing, cleaning, salad preparation, and baking. Duties may include: • prepare and/or cook meals • serve meals • prepare and handle special diets based on children's and students' needs • wash dishes and perform daily cleaning • work with self-inspection and food hygiene • receive and handle goods • when needed, place orders and work to reduce food waste • As a substitute, you need to be able to step in during regular staff absences. QUALIFICATIONS We are primarily seeking cooks, but also meal service assistants and those interested in cooking who want to contribute their commitment to our school kitchens. As a cook, you will work with preparing and cooking meals. As a meal service assistant, you will help with meal preparations, serving, dishwashing, cleaning, and other common kitchen tasks. We would like you to have training in large-scale kitchens or restaurants, for example from upper secondary school or equivalent education. Experience from large-scale kitchens, restaurants, or other meal service operations is a merit. It is also a merit if you have knowledge of special diets, self-inspection, and food hygiene. It is positive if you have computer skills and previous experience with goods ordering. We seek someone who: • enjoys cooking and working together with others • is thorough, responsible, and solution-focused • has a positive attitude and can work at a fast pace • is service-oriented and flexible • enjoys working in an environment where children and students are in focus Most importantly, you should have a passion for food and service and want to contribute to creating a good and pleasant meal experience for our children and students. Salary range: The salary for this position is currently within the range of 24,900 - 31,000 kronor per month, based on 2025 salary levels. Employment form: Fixed-term employment.
