Substitute Recreation Leader

WORK DUTIES Would you like to help create an active and meaningful day for our youth at the middle school level? We are looking for a substitute recreation leader for the school's café and break activities at Vasaskolan. The assignment includes planning for and implementing activities for our students in grades 7-9 during their free time. Our goal is to have adult-led activities several times a week that invite participation. You are also important in maintaining good safety and well-being in our shared spaces as well as enforcing our school rules; among other things in the form of collecting phones and participating in returning them each day. You are an important carrier of our safety work and in promoting a safe climate at the school. You collaborate with another recreation leader as well as the rest of the team with student assistants. Your workplace is based at the school café but the entire school is your area of responsibility. QUALIFICATIONS At least upper secondary school diploma, preferably with a focus on Children and Recreation. Qualifying to have a social pedagogy education, recreation leader education, or equivalent. Experience working with youth ages 13-16 is qualifying. Type of Employment: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 3-6 months, start date: 2026-08-24. To begin working in preschool, school, after-school care and other pedagogical activities, you are required to present a certificate from the criminal record register. The certificate is valid for one year and is ordered from the National Police Board www.polisen.se. Anyone who has not presented a certificate from the criminal record register may not be employed, engaged, or admitted to the activity according to applicable legal requirements.
