Spånga C has many optional bus lines to our local area. Solhems School is a four-parallel F-6 school with approximately 745 students and 100 employees. Solhems School consists of two school units, Solhems School and Solhemshäng School. The school management consists of a principal and three assistant principals as well as an administrative manager. Your role We are looking for you who, during the period August 10, 2026 to January 23, 2027, want to work as a recreation centre manager in our well-functioning year 2 class at Solhems School. The year group consists of two classes with two teachers, two class contacts and one recreation centre manager. In your role as recreation centre manager, you are responsible for working together with your colleagues to ensure that the students' entire school day is characterized by learning, security and positive social interaction. You have a leadership role at the recreation centre where you take primary responsibility for planning and evaluating activities during breaks and leisure time. With the resources available in the form of time and staff, you coordinate the operation so that it runs smoothly, even when the situation requires flexibility. In both the recreation group and in the extended team which includes the teachers, it is important that you put the team first. In your leadership role at the recreation centre, you are expected to be a bridge between school and recreation and to form an essential part in ensuring that these parts work together. You do this with the key words clarity, structure, communication and commitment. Your coordinating role requires good collaboration skills, also with other work teams at the school. Together you have the best interests of the entire school in mind and cooperate with the immediate supervisor if needed. During a typical week at Solhems School, as a recreation centre manager you have a number of time resources at your disposal to plan, conduct and evaluate the recreation activities in a good way. These include work team time (including the teachers), planning time with recreation staff, your own planning time, time with other recreation centre managers and, on a rotating basis, time each week for development work, occupational health and safety training, planning before holidays, etc. As an employee of ours, we expect you to act in a professional manner that reflects your professional expertise and professional role. You clearly distinguish between the personal and the professional and conduct yourself in a way that is adapted to each situation. Your sense of security, stability and self-awareness enable you to take initiative and make things happen. You translate planning into activity with precision, which leads to desired results. Your competence and experience • Completed upper secondary education. • Begun education as a recreation pedagogue, teacher for recreation centres or equivalent is a requirement. • Experience in leading colleagues within recreation centres or other professions is an asset. • Good Swedish language skills are a requirement. If you do not have the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, students, parents and other staff in spoken and written Swedish, this position is not for you.
