The Children's and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Board and Primary School Board. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, school childcare, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important task is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. Our Departments and Our Philosophy We have four departments: Solsidan, Regnbågen, Junibacken, and Sunnanäng for children ages 1-5 years. The preschool has two departments for children 1-3 years old and two departments for children 3-6 years old. Tjädern is located approximately 5–10 minutes from Trångsund center. You can easily reach us by bus and commuter train. The preschool is part of the Skogås-Trångsund preschool area. We have preschool teachers, childcare workers, and a cook. We always start from the children's daily lives and experience. We use a project-based approach and employ pedagogical documentation, which is a tool for seeing children's learning and continuously evaluating and developing pedagogical activities. Based on themes, different projects are formed depending on what the children appear interested in and occupied with understanding. Children's innate drive and creativity are at the core of our activities, and we believe that everyone's differences give us more opportunities. The adults are co-exploring pedagogues whose task is to organize and plan based on what children are interested in. Pedagogues work to offer environments and materials that captivate, amaze, entertain, and puzzle children. At Tjädern Preschool, we want to create meaningful days together with the children where we utilize their competencies. We want children to feel included and for their questions and thoughts to form the basis for how we plan our activities. With us, children and adults learn together. About the Job We are looking for a substitute preschool teacher for fall 2026. As a preschool teacher in Huddinge Municipality, you implement the preschool curriculum in your daily work, partly through pedagogical documentation. Together with your colleagues, you create conditions for children's learning and development by supporting the individual child, challenging norms, and actively working against discrimination. In the work of a preschool teacher, care, upbringing, and learning form a whole. You have a positive approach where the child is always in focus and treat everyone with care, kindness, and respect. You have the ability to see both the individual child's and the group's needs and create, together with children and colleagues, an environment that promotes quality, clarity, and structure. In a positive manner, you treat children and adults based on the preschool's values. As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for actively leading, planning, and ensuring quality in the daily work at the preschool. You should also systematically and continuously follow up and analyze pedagogical activities in collaboration with other staff. Your responsibilities also include improving the preschool's quality and thus the child's opportunity for development and learning. Your Profile We are looking for someone who is educated as a preschool teacher and is well-versed in the preschool's governing documents and can implement the curriculum's goals in practical work. It is a merit if you have experience leading a work team. You work in a structured manner and use pedagogical documentation to analyze and reflect together with both colleagues and children. You have good IT skills and the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. We would like to see that you have worked in a larger organization or have experience from municipal operations. As a person, you are confident and have the ability to feel trust and care. You are clear and attentive in your communication and accustomed to adapting your way of communicating to the situation at hand. You are positive and solution-focused, and have the ability to inspire and create good relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Through critical and analytical thinking, you see opportunities in how the preschool's goals can be developed.
