About the Employer
Stiftelsen Föremålsvård is a state foundation with a mandate to care for, conserve, and digitize cultural heritage materials to contribute to the preservation of Sweden's material cultural heritage. Parts of Stiftelsen Föremålsvård's operations are conducted within the framework of Kulturarvs-IT. We work on assignment from central cultural heritage institutions and in close cooperation with museums, archives, and other cultural heritage actors.
The Digital Image Department works with digitization, image processing, and quality assurance of photographs and other image collections. We are now seeking an interim department head.
About the Position
As department head, you are responsible for leading, developing, and monitoring the department's operations. As department head of Digital Image, you share responsibility for the department's activities. You are part of the foundation's management group and contribute to the strategic development of operations. You report to the Director.
In this role, you are responsible for:
Operative work with digitization, image management, and deliveries
Client contacts, planning, monitoring, and delivery of assignments
Quality work and development of work processes
Leadership and mentoring of employees
Personnel, finance, and work environment responsibility
Planning, prioritization, and monitoring of the department's assignments and projects
Cooperation with customers and partners
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
Has several years of experience in digitization of photographs, archival materials, museum collections, or equivalent work
Has documented experience in a management or other leadership position
Has experience with assignment or production work with a focus on quality
Has good knowledge of digital image production, such as image formats, color management, and quality assurance
Has experience with change management, development, and systematic quality work
Has a strong ability to organize, prioritize, and monitor operations
Has excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
Meritorious
Experience developing quality processes and workflows
Experience preserving, digitizing, or conserving cultural heritage materials
Academic education in cultural heritage or another relevant field
Experience from the cultural heritage sector
Experience from state or publicly funded operations
Personal Qualities
You are a confident and clear leader who creates structure, engagement, and participation. You have good collaboration skills, are communicative, and relationship-building. You lead in an inclusive and coaching manner with an understanding of different individuals' needs and conditions.

Other Information
This position is a full-time interim appointment for one year due to the regular head's leave of absence, but at most until 2027-12-31. The employment may subsequently be extended, provided that necessary decisions are made.
