WORK TASKS As a personal assistant, your work takes place in the client's home and is uniquely adapted to each individual's needs. No two days are alike! You often work independently, which gives you both freedom and responsibility to shape your work in the best way. We have an ongoing need for substitutes. QUALIFICATIONS Who are you? We are looking for someone who has: • turned 18 years old. • good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. • good computer skills to manage the organization's systems for social documentation. • ability to work independently and at the same time follow the organization's routines and working methods with clients. • B-driver's license. It is meritorious if you have: • education from a nursing care program or youth and leisure program, post-secondary education in behavioral science, special education, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. • experience within the LSS field and have worked with neuropsychiatric disabilities and psychiatry. • worked with low-affective interaction and have experience creating educational environments characterized by calm and positive expectations. • experience with delegation from a nurse. When working in the client's home, you need to be prepared for household pets to be present. As a person, you need to be able to build trust, instill security and calm in your professional role. Being attentive and empathetic is important since some clients may have difficulty expressing their wishes and needs through verbal communication. To have the prerequisites to manage the work tasks with the client, both care work and leisure activities, you need to have generally good physical health. Great importance is placed on personal suitability and interest in working with this target group. For work with children within LSS, an extract from the criminal record must be shown before employment. In spring 2026, a new law came into force that means that work in the home for elderly people or adults with disabilities is also covered by criminal record checks. For this position, it means that final candidates, in order to be eligible for employment with Strängnäs Municipality, must present extracts from both the criminal record and the suspicion register before employment can be offered.
