We offer our substitutes one to two workplaces where you get the opportunity to feel part of the team, individual introduction based on your previous experience and education, and close contact with the principal and administrator. If you can work at multiple facilities and in different geographic locations, we have better opportunities to offer you more work shifts. 10 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a substitute, you work either in preschool, primary school (grades F-6 or 7-9), adapted primary school, or after-school care. Preschool: In preschool, you work as a substitute alongside regular educators, where the preschool teacher leads the pedagogical work in collaboration with other staff. Through care and pedagogical activities based on play and creative expression, you work to promote children's development and learning. The preschool's mission is to create an environment that supports, challenges, and engages, thereby laying a foundation for learning for all children. To succeed, you need to be a good and trusted role model who actively supports and guides children during their time in preschool. Primary School (F-6) and After-School Care: As a substitute in primary school, you support our regular teachers during their absence, teach various subjects, and contribute to a safe and inspiring learning environment. It is important that you find it rewarding to teach and that you can engage students in a pedagogical way. After school hours, you may also work at the after-school care facility where you, together with your colleagues, carry out activities with students to create meaningful leisure time after school. Primary School (7-9): As a substitute in upper primary school, you support regular teachers during their absence by teaching according to plan and contributing to a safe, structured, and conducive learning environment. You work with students in various subjects and strive to motivate, engage, and support them in their learning and personal development. The role also includes being a clear and trusted adult, maintaining good order in the classroom, and collaborating with colleagues to create a positive and respectful school environment. Adapted Primary School: In adapted primary school, you assist students with special needs as a substitute. You may work with a specific student, sometimes with a group of students, or with the entire class. You guide students in their studies and provide support in class. QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications: • You are 18 years old or older • You are available on short notice, as bookings can be made as late as 45 minutes before a work shift starts • You live in Alingsås municipality or in the surrounding area, with the ability to quickly and easily get to the workplace • You have the ability to work at least a couple of shifts per week to contribute to continuity for children, students, and staff • You have a good command of the Swedish language in speech, comprehension, and writing Meritorious: • Education or experience within school or preschool • Experience in leadership, for example through volunteer organizations or similar activities We are looking for someone with pedagogical skills and a genuine interest in working with children and young people. You have good interpersonal skills, are responsive to others' needs, and treat each individual with respect. You build good relationships easily and take responsibility for your role as a substitute.
