To work and thrive in your role assisting me, you must:
Be a trustworthy person with a good sense of humor—the quirky kind helps when working with me—but also be able to be serious when needed. Ideally, you should be a good listener.
Be able to step in on short notice and be spontaneous. It's a plus if you have an interest in cars and/or motorcycles.
Enjoy participating in social settings. Speak and write Swedish fluently. Be responsible and punctual. Be a non-smoker. You must also be comfortable assisting with personal care when needed.
Since some lifting is involved, it's important that you have reasonably good physical fitness.
You should ideally be between 22-35 years old.

I'm a guy living in Västerås, and I'm a member of Blå Assistans because I want self-selected and self-directed assistance. Blå Assistans serves as the employer for my assistants while I myself choose who I want to employ. I schedule my assistance and determine what my assistants' work involves. My provider strives to ensure that members, assistants, and administrative staff all have the competence their roles require.
