We are now seeking a confident, warm, and stable personal assistant for a 57-year-old woman with Down syndrome and dementia. She is a clever and strong-willed woman with lots of personality, humor, and clear opinions. She knows what she wants and likes to try to get her way, which requires you as an assistant to be calm, consistent, and trustworthy in your interactions. You need to be able to stand firm in routines and agreements, even when faced with persuasion attempts or resistance. The client needs support and help throughout her daily life – with personal care, hygiene, meals, mobility, activities, and everything that comes with everyday living. The work is also about creating security, structure, and quality of life through calm and respectful interactions. We are looking for you who: Have great patience and a calm approach Are confident, stable, and clear in your way of working Can work in a structured manner and follow routines Are attentive and empathetic without becoming insecure in setting boundaries Have good collaboration skills and take responsibility See the person behind the diagnoses Have the ability to create security and continuity Are flexible and can adapt to the client's daily form and needs It is a merit if you have experience working in personal assistance, dementia, or intellectual disability, but personal suitability is decisive. Working hours are distributed throughout all hours of the day, including evenings, nights, and weekends. Double assistance occurs during certain times of the day. We are looking for someone who wants to make a real difference in another person's life and who understands the importance of security, respect, and professional conduct in the close work that being a personal assistant entails.
