Your Assignment
Nyckelvik's short-term residential facility is a short-term residence within LSS for children and young people up to 24 years old with intellectual disabilities. At the short-term facility, we work to create fun and meaningful short-term stays. The goal is for everyone to have a meaningful leisure time based on their individual needs and circumstances. Nyckelvik consists of two single-story villas, where all children and young people have their own rooms. As a temporary support assistant, you will provide support and services to children and young people according to their individual needs. You will help create educational activity schedules at both individual and group levels. When possible, you will take outings with the short-term facility's minibus.
The role includes being a support person. You will develop implementation plans, document, and participate in regular team meetings. You will also receive medical delegation authority.
The position involves varied tasks, such as support and service with:
Cooking, cleaning, morning and evening routines
Personal care and hygiene
Daily and weekly planning
Contact with relatives, parents, and school
At Nyckelvik's short-term residential facility, you will work days, evenings, and weekends. Weekdays involve working hours from 6:30-11:30 AM or 2:30-9:30 PM, and weekend shifts may be longer.
Your Experience
To be considered for this position, it is required that you have:
Experience working with children in this target group within LSS
Computer and documentation skills
A Class B driver's license to operate the short-term facility's minibus is highly desirable
Relevant post-secondary education is desirable
Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
Good physical capacity
