About the Operations
We are now looking for a nurse for a temporary position (with the possibility of permanent employment) in Department 90 (psychiatric intensive care). Regional Adult Psychiatry Falun/Säter has a regional mandate for adult psychiatry and is responsible for the care and treatment of patients in acute psychiatric conditions. The operations are divided between Falun and Säter. In Säter, there is the region's only psychiatric emergency unit as well as Departments 90 and 95. In Falun, there is a dependency center, a general psychiatric inpatient ward, LARO, and ECT operations.
Department 90 in Säter serves patients with severe psychiatric conditions and a great need for intensive care and observation, for example in cases of psychosis and manic episodes. Many patients are cared for under the Psychiatric Care Act (LPT). The department has 10 beds and high staffing 24/7.
The position includes day and evening shifts as well as weekend duty - every other or every third weekend.
Work Tasks
As a nurse on our department, you lead and coordinate nursing care. You are responsible for rounds, conduct patient and family meetings, and collaborate with care partners. The role also includes participating in discharge planning as well as performing blood draws and medication management. You collaborate with care coordinators regarding patients under compulsory psychiatric care. On the departments, nurses, doctors, and nursing assistants work closely together along with the treatment team (social worker, psychologist, occupational therapist).

Qualifications
We are Looking for Someone Who:
Is a licensed nurse (or will graduate soon)
Has an interest in psychiatric care, particularly in acute situations
Is flexible, takes responsibility, and wants to develop in your professional role
Has good teamwork abilities and enjoys working in a team
We also welcome newly graduated nurses with an interest in psychiatry - with us you will receive orientation and support in your new professional role.
It is a plus if you have:
Specialist training in psychiatry
Experience in psychiatric work
