We are now recruiting new dedicated care staff to our elderly care home Kvänumsgården. Kvänumsgården elderly care home is centrally located in Kvänum, approximately a five-minute walk from the grocery store and bus stop. Kvänumsgården is a specialized residential facility for people with dementia and geropsychiatric conditions (mental health disorders in older adults). It has 18 beds distributed across two units: Vitsippan with nine dementia beds and Blåsippan with nine geropsychiatric beds. Each floor has a common dining room and day room with an enclosed patio featuring infrared heating that we can enjoy from early spring to late fall. Tornumsgården elderly care home is connected to Kvänumsgården and is a specialized residential facility with 22 beds distributed across two floors, Linden and Birch. The unit consists of Kvänumsgården and Tornumsgården. The units collaborate and staff can cover for each other across both facilities. Your Role You will be offered stimulating, developmental, and varied work that brings meaning for you and our residents. At Kvänumsgården, we work from a professional, rehabilitative approach. The salutogenic perspective permeates our operations. The residents' self-determination and integrity play a central role in care. All staff have a responsibility to improve operations. We use continuous improvements and focus groups to achieve the social services committee's goals in our operational plan. We work in a planned and structured manner to provide quality care to our residents. We use a fixed schedule staffed according to operational needs. Scheduled working hours include days, evenings, and weekends. Your Knowledge and Experience It is advantageous if you have certification for the protected professional title of Care Assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a service certificate with ongoing permanent employment as a Care Assistant. It is advantageous if you have dementia experience. It is advantageous if you have a vocational qualification in dementia care or geropsychiatric care. It is also advantageous if you are specialist trained. Good customer service is paramount in our operations and we place great emphasis on personal suitability. You are committed, responsible, and proactive in providing residents with meaningful daily activities by creating purpose, comprehensibility, and manageability. You are calm and confident and have the ability to plan activities during work shifts. You are flexible and can quickly adapt and modify services based on changing circumstances. Documentation and health care tasks within delegated authority are part of the work. Since Swedish is the common working language at the workplace, you need to master the language, both spoken and written, at the level required by the job tasks.
