Östersund Municipality is now seeking a temporary replacement for our Quality Engineer for pipe networks in the Waste Water Services sector who is on parental leave. The temporary position runs from August 1, 2026 to February 1, 2027 Your Temporary Position We are seeking a temporary replacement for the position of quality engineer in the pipe networks unit for drinking water and wastewater. You will be one of two quality engineers in the unit and together you will be part of a team of quality engineers in the sector. This means you can support each other in your work. You will have considerable contact with others in the sector, within the municipality, as well as with authorities and customers. As our future Quality Engineer for pipe networks, you will have an important role in ensuring the quality of our water and wastewater services. Responsibilities You are responsible for contact with authorities, for example during inspection visits. Our control programs and ensuring that necessary reporting is prepared and submitted. Following up on and investigating quality deviations, upstream work, and complaints, as well as responding to consultations. You support operations personnel with sampling and incident response. Planning, developing procedures and projects to monitor quality issues. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with a university degree in microbiology and/or chemistry, or equivalent competence. We would like you to have experience in quality work within water and wastewater services/food industry or licensed operations. You are solution-oriented and flexible, have good collaboration skills, and want to contribute to our continued development. You are quality-conscious, thorough, structured, and take initiative. You can synthesize complex information and drive work tasks to completion. You have analytical ability and can collect, analyze, and compile data. Since you will have many internal and external contact points, it is important that you enjoy and are good at building relationships and collaborating with others. A class B driver's license is required. The position is partially classified as a security-sensitive role. This means that before you are employed at Östersund Municipality, a security clearance and background check may be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
