About the Organization
Guldstadens Kvinnojour is a non-profit organization working toward an equal society free from violence. Our primary goal is to support women and children who are victims of violence, threats, and abuse. Through our crisis support work, we strive to strengthen and support girls and women in society, both through direct support services and preventive work against violence. We operate a protected shelter for women who have experienced violence and their children.
Your Responsibilities
As a crisis support worker with us, you will play a central role in providing support and guidance to women and children who live at or seek support from the Women's Crisis Center.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Provide support and guidance in personal meetings and by phone.
- Assist with practical matters and coordinate contacts with various authorities.
- Provide support in meetings with police, social services, and during potential court proceedings.
- Work to ensure that those seeking support through our center receive the security and help they need.
Your Background / Personal Qualities
We see that you seeking this role have a degree in social work or another post-secondary education focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or equivalent experience.
As a person, you are empathetic and attentive and have the ability to meet victims of violence seeking support. You are a trustworthy person with the ability to handle sensitive situations with a professional approach and high discretion, as well as a strong ability to work independently and in a team.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Previous experience in social work with support from the Social Services Act (SoL)
- Previous experience working with children
- Experience working with journal/record management systems
Information / Contact
Working hours are flexible and scheduled Monday – Friday between 07:00 and 19:00, and on-call work occurs. Guldstadens Kvinnojour has collective agreements and compensation is provided according to the agreement. To work at Guldstadens Kvinnojour, a certificate from the police's suspicion and conviction register for work with children in residential care homes is required before employment.
The substitute position is time-limited for the person on parental leave and ends when they return to service. Start date in late fall 2026, by agreement.
