Workplace Description Sturebyskolan is an F-9 school with approximately 1,150 students located in southern Stockholm. We have strong results and high demand. After-school activities for younger students are divided between two units. Each unit has after-school coordinators who lead the activities. In our development work for after-school programs, after-school staff, coordinators and school management collaborate to provide our students with equivalent after-school programs. Job Description We are now looking for a childcare provider at Sturebyskolan with experience working in after-school programs who has a genuine passion for after-school pedagogy and learning. You will design meaningful after-school activities based on the curriculum, student interests and needs. In your work, you will focus on the after-school program's compensatory and complementary mission in shaping the activities. During the workday, you actively work with lower elementary students both during school hours and in the after-school program, with a clear collaboration mandate. You see collegial cooperation and learning as an integral part of your role and always keep the student's best interests in focus. In your role as a childcare provider, you are organized and engaged. You use a calm approach and are able to meet a broad spectrum of needs among your students. As a person, you are collaborative, unpretentious and flexible. You find balance between working with high energy and enthusiasm while also maintaining structure and clear boundaries. Since this position requires strong communication and collaboration skills, you need good proficiency in Swedish. You are expected to work independently and take responsibility within your designated duties at the school. As a confident and present adult, you are expected to make sound decisions on your own initiative based on the situation and needs. Qualifications We would like you to be a trained childcare provider or have equivalent education. Experience with similar work is desirable but not required. Personal suitability is the most important factor. To work at our schools, you must provide a valid police certificate of no criminal record and no suspicion record before a job offer is made. Within the Education Administration, we apply individual salary setting regulated by HÖK and General Terms (AB).
