The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (FHL) vision is to understand, explain, and improve the world and society we live in from a health and life science perspective. Within the department, we are just over 30 employees offering a broad range of courses and educational programs at bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. We now need to strengthen our team with an engaged colleague. We are seeking a psychologist with clinical experience and broad expertise in neuropsychological assessment, psychological treatment with CBT orientation, and solid theoretical knowledge, preferably a specialist psychologist and/or licensed psychotherapist. We also welcome applicants who have particularly extensive experience in one of these areas, even if the competency profile does not encompass all parts. Subject Area of the Position: Clinical Psychology Placement Location for the time being: Växjö. Since Linnaeus University is located in both Växjö and Kalmar, travel between the locations may occur. Scope of Employment: Temporary position 50-100% for 12 months Start Date: By agreement Job Description The work tasks include planning and administering teaching, teaching, and supervising students at bachelor's and master's levels, as well as examining students at the bachelor's level in psychology. You are expected primarily to work with teaching within the department's broad educational mission based on your own expertise. Work is planned and carried out together in work teams, so collaboration skills and flexibility are of great importance. The work is expected to be conducted on-site, but there is an opportunity to work partially from home. Contract education and cooperation with the surrounding community may be part of the work tasks. Travel between the university's two campuses occurs as the department has activities at both locations. The tasks also include following developments within your own subject area and societal developments that are relevant to the teacher's work at the university. Qualification Requirements Eligible to be employed as a University Lecturer at Linnaeus University (Employment Regulations Ref: LNU 2012/359, revised 2020-06-04) is someone who has completed a master's degree in psychology or has equivalent competence, and has demonstrated pedagogical skill. Equivalent competence is understood to mean, as a rule, a degree from a foreign university with substantially the same level and quality as a Swedish master's degree. For eligibility for this position, the following are required: • Licensed Psychologist • Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English in speech and writing Meritorious qualifications include: • Licensed Psychotherapist with CBT orientation, or documented experience in psychological treatment with CBT orientation • Documented clinical experience in neuropsychological assessment • Solid theoretical knowledge in clinical psychology relevant to the position's work tasks • Documented pedagogical skill through teaching, supervision, examination, course development, and curriculum work • Completed higher education pedagogy training • Specialist in psychological treatment/psychotherapy or neuropsychology. Evaluation Criteria In assessing the applicants, special weight will be placed on documented clinical experience as a licensed psychologist relevant to the position's content. Particularly meritorious is clinical competence in psychological treatment with CBT orientation and solid theoretical knowledge in clinical psychology. Competence in neuropsychological assessment will also be considered. For applicants with lecturer competence, research activities should have been conducted in clinical psychology. Great weight will also be placed on pedagogical skill and the ability to contribute to the department's educational mission. Also meritorious is previous experience with university teaching, distance teaching, and teaching via web-based learning platforms, as well as documented collaboration skills. Based on the needs of the activities, personal qualities such as responsibility, initiative, collaboration skills, and professional integrity are important evaluation criteria. When the university employs new teachers, applicants should be selected who, through a qualitative overall assessment of competence and skill, are assessed to have the best prerequisites for implementing and developing current work tasks and contributing to successful development of the activities.
