We are now seeking a special education teacher for grades 4–6 at Enehagens School who wants to be part of creating a safe, learning, and inspiring school experience for our students. At Enehagens School, we have approximately 280 students and conduct education in grades F-6. We are an organization characterized by good relationships, close teamwork, student-centered value-based work, and we strive to create a safe and inspiring daily life where all students have the opportunity to develop and feel confidence in their future.
As part of our team, you will contribute to the school's continued development and the positive culture we build together every day. In the school's EHT team, there is another experienced special education teacher and an educational psychologist. EHT meets every Monday afternoon; additionally, the "spec team" meets on Monday mornings. The closeness we share means collaboration occurs every day. In this position, you will also be part of our flexible environment where we support students throughout the day.
Responsibilities
As a special education teacher with us, you work closely with students, teachers, and student support services with a focus on promoting students' academic development. You contribute both with direct support to students and with guidance to colleagues.
Your responsibilities include:
Plan and conduct instruction for students with special needs, individually or in small groups
Together with the educational psychologist, conduct educational assessments and analyze student needs
Support student development in reading, writing, and/or mathematics
Guidance and support teachers regarding special needs support
Collaborate with work teams, student support teams, and school leadership
Contribute to the development of accessible and inclusive learning environments
Qualifications
You are a certified teacher with a special education teacher qualification or wish to begin training and gain experience
You have experience working with students with special needs, preferably in grades 4–6
You have strong ability to analyze student learning and adapt instruction based on needs
You are collaboration-oriented, solution-focused, and have an inclusive approach
You have strong communication skills and are comfortable mentoring colleagues
