This position is a temporary assignment through November 11, 2026 with possible opportunity for extension 1 position(s). DUTIES As a teacher, your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating educational work both independently and as part of a teaching team. In your role, you will be instrumental in creating a safe foundation for our students. An important part of the work is to stimulate and motivate students to develop their abilities and create opportunities for learning. You should be well-versed in the school's governing documents and informed about its documentation requirements. You will collaborate with guardians, colleagues in the teaching team, leisure-time teachers, resource specialists, and student support services. QUALIFICATIONS You are a certified and qualified teacher. If no qualified teacher applies, an unqualified candidate may be considered for a fixed-term position. In that case, a high school diploma is required. You have a structured work approach and a strong ability to tailor instruction based on student needs. You have a desire to develop in your work and will be active in the school's collaborative learning. You are flexible and see collaboration as important. Before employment becomes applicable, you must, in accordance with the provisions of the Education Act (2010:800), provide a criminal record clearance "work within the school system" which you can request via polisen.se Type of Employment: Fixed-term position. In Pajala Municipality, individual and differentiated salary setting is applied. This means that the salary is set based on applicable collective agreements - general provisions including appendices and the municipality's salary policy. Upon new employment, an individual assessment of the salary is made based on the requirements of the position. Within the Swedish Municipal Workers' Union agreement area, the minimum starting salary is 23,638 kr. For employees with vocational preparation upper secondary education, the starting salary is 25,798 kr. Pajala Municipality is part of the administrative area for Meänkieli and Finnish languages, therefore it is advantageous if you have knowledge of one or both of these languages.
