The program combines academic studies with leadership training and practical classroom experience. Over two years, you study remotely to become a subject teacher while simultaneously working as a teacher. Today, conditions in schools are unequal and the teacher shortage is far too high. With your knowledge, you can make a difference for students!
About the Leadership Program
As a program participant, you complete a work-integrated pedagogical education that we run together with Luleå University of Technology. During the program, you work four days a week at a school and have one day set aside for studies.
To make you the best teacher and leader in the classroom, you also receive leadership training and a personal leadership coach who will mentor you throughout the program's two years. After completing your education, you can continue as a teacher or take on other leadership roles.
As a participant in our program, you receive
Employment as a regular teacher with salary
A unique leadership education and personal leadership coach
Practical experience working four days a week at a secondary school
Membership in an international community working to create an equitable school system
Upon completion of the program, you receive a teaching degree and can apply for teacher certification
Your qualifications to be eligible
You need a subject or professional degree comprising at least 180 credits in one of the subjects we recruit for. These are mathematics, technology, physics, biology, chemistry, or languages.
Good knowledge of Swedish

About Teach for Sweden
Teach for Sweden is a nonprofit organization founded in 2013 due to declining school results in Swedish schools. 1 out of 6 students complete ninth grade without eligibility for upper secondary school. At the same time, nearly one in three teachers is unqualified in primary school today. We recruit participants who want to make a difference and train them to become skilled teachers and leaders.
