Duties As a nurse in our departments, you will have a varied role where you, together with nursing assistants, are responsible for a care team and participate in care planning together with the patient and team. You are responsible for nursing care and medical assessments, and participate in therapeutic conversations, health checks, and medication management. You will document your work in the Cosmic medical record system. When the patient is approaching discharge, you collaborate with municipalities and relevant discharge facilities to ensure safe and continuous care. Nursing assignments and needs exist in various parts of the operation, which gives you the opportunity to express preferences regarding specific areas of interest. About the Workplace The Forensic Psychiatric Regional Clinic is an operation in strong development. In the fall of 2026, we are opening a fifth care unit and growing from 55 to 71 care beds. At the same time, opportunities for research, development, and collaboration with universities and other regions are increasing. We are a highly specialized facility that provides psychiatric care with special security requirements. We admit patients who have been committed to forensic psychiatric care by court decision, as well as individuals who are detained, held in custody, or incarcerated within the criminal justice system. Our mission is to provide safe and secure care, with a focus on rehabilitation, recovery, and reduced recidivism risk. Here we work in multidisciplinary teams where different expertise collaborate – always with the patient's needs at the center. Forensic psychiatry is a form of care that requires knowledge, structure, and great commitment. But also attentiveness, patience, and a belief in change. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required. Experience with the Cosmic medical record system is a merit. As a person, you are secure, stable, and self-reliant, with good collaborative skills. You can structure and drive your work, lead and motivate nursing staff, and work carefully according to objectives and quality requirements. You are flexible and adapt easily to changes. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
