As a substitute teacher with us in preschool, after-school, and elementary school, you'll have the opportunity to try different assignments. You'll meet children and young people from preschool age through grade 9. Our shared work is based on a positive approach and an ability to see each individual. It's also important to consider the group's needs and to have a genuine interest in children's and young people's learning and development. With us, you fill an important function for our operations to run smoothly, which requires good adaptability, the ability to take your own initiative, and flexibility. The Education Administration's activities are located from Rosvik in the north to Jävre in the south. To be hired as a substitute teacher with us, you must be able to get to your temporary workplace by your own car. Qualifications For preschool, it's a merit if you're trained as a childcare provider or preschool teacher, or if you have equivalent experience. For elementary school, it's a merit if you have a teaching license or are studying to become a teacher. You can also be trained as a teaching assistant or student assistant and work as a resource. If you don't have a license but have good knowledge or a strong interest in subjects such as mathematics, science, technology, social studies, crafts, Swedish, English, modern languages (Spanish, German, French), home economics, physical education, or music—you're also warmly welcome to apply. We also need staff for the after-school program, which operates before and after school hours. There, you'll continue to create a safe and creative environment for students. For after-school positions, we're primarily seeking qualified after-school educators. If you're trained as a childcare provider or student assistant, you can also work in after-school as a resource. More About the Position We can offer you a fixed-term employment of 3 to 6 months in our substitute teacher pool, or hourly work if you'd like to try out the profession. A car and driver's license are a requirement for a fixed-term position in our substitute teacher pool. You must be able to get to your temporary workplaces by your own car.
