Right now we are seeking four support educators/support assistants for two of our group homes within LSS. The positions include both permanent positions and longer-term assignments of at least six months. Within LSS group homes, our goal is to give individuals the opportunity to live like others and be able to participate in community life, and that together we work toward an independent, active and meaningful everyday life. The activities include pedagogical support, delegated health and care tasks, and documentation of the individual's development. We also work according to various methods within our activities such as AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) and LAB (Low-Arousal Approach). Qualifications To succeed in the role of support educator/support assistant, we see that you have: Support educator training or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Previous work experience from LSS. Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing as well as good computer skills. Previous knowledge of challenging behavior, low-arousal approach, and/or alternative communication. Driver's license category B and access to a car. It is meritorious if you as a support educator/support assistant also have: Competence in digital support, for example using a tablet as cognitive support in everyday life. Experience with social documentation and working based on implementation plans. As a person, you are structured, take initiative, have good collaboration skills, and a pedagogical approach. It is of great importance that you are attentive to the user's needs in different situations in order to adapt your approach in a flexible way. Area of Responsibility As a support educator/support assistant, you provide support and services based on each individual's needs, conditions, and wishes. The work may include personal care, communication, service provision as well as pedagogical and practical support in daily life. Together with the individual, you plan and conduct activities and provide support with, for example, personal hygiene, meals, leisure activities, and household chores. You work to create participation, independence, and security in the individual's everyday life. The assignment also includes performing delegated health and care tasks, documenting in the Combine management system, and working according to applicable procedures. You also participate in the work of establishing, monitoring, and following up on implementation plans. Terms Working hours are scheduled around the clock, day, evening, night, and weekends. The group homes we are now looking for new colleagues for are located in the outer areas of Arvika municipality. Therefore, a driver's license category B and access to a car is a requirement for the positions.
