The Pacemaker Clinic is part of the Cardiology Unit at Östersund Hospital. The Cardiology Unit includes a cardiology outpatient clinic, an inpatient ward, and a coronary catheterization laboratory (PCI-lab). We work as a team across the entire unit and encourage professional development through both internal and external training. The cardiology outpatient clinic operates during daytime hours and sees patients for follow-ups after heart attacks, evaluation of heart failure and arrhythmias, and other cardiac conditions. At the Pacemaker Clinic, which is part of the cardiology clinic and will be your workplace, you will work in close collaboration with nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and physicians. Then we welcome you to the Cardiology Unit in Östersund! 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES You will work daytime hours, Monday through Friday. At the Pacemaker Clinic, we are responsible for follow-up and regular monitoring of patients with pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT devices. We also conduct syncope evaluations using implantable heart rhythm monitors. Work as a pacemaker/device nurse/BMA includes monitoring patients' remote monitoring data and providing telephone advice. We also support other hospital units regarding pacemaker checks for patients, such as in the emergency department or in connection with certain imaging procedures. Your duties also include assisting during pacemaker implant surgeries. Working in our pacemaker/device team requires enthusiasm for working with various digital systems. Our patients may have different advanced pacemakers/devices, and training occurs gradually over an extended period for different systems so you can work independently. There is always an experienced colleague or device physician to consult. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking a licensed nurse/BMA with experience in cardiac care. Previous experience with pacemaker operations is a merit.
