We are now seeking an engaged and responsible personal assistant for a man living with MS who needs support in his daily life. Here you will have meaningful, varied, and active work where you make a real difference in another person's life. This position is an hourly employment. Training/orientation will take place by agreement. The client lives 5–6 km outside Värnamo, so a driver's license and access to a car are a must. About the role: As a personal assistant, you work closely with the client and provide important support in both daily routines and activities. Your work enables the client to live an active life and continue with both work and leisure interests. The client lives 5–6 km outside Värnamo. You should be able to work calmly, methodically, and in an organized manner. You accompany the client to his workplace during the day and support him in various daily tasks. You show respect for the client's workplace. A driver's license is required as you will drive the client's car. We prefer that you live in Värnamo municipality. Work tasks may include: Stretching and physical training Personal hygiene and care Transfers using assistive devices Hand assistance Meals and meal support Accompanying to work and activities The client trains regularly at a rehabilitation pool where a training program is conducted in the water. The water is deep, so the assistant working there needs to be over 180 cm tall to work safely in the water. The client is Christian and attends church regularly, so as an assistant you need to be comfortable accompanying him to church services. There is a cat in the home, so you cannot have pet allergies. Work hours Work hours are scheduled as follows: Weekdays: 05:30 – 17:30, weekday evenings 17:15-22 Saturday: 07:30 – 18:30 Sunday: 07:30 – 14:00 Schedule is planned by agreement. Who we are looking for: As a personal assistant for this client, you need to be able to juggle many things at once while being organized, thorough, and adaptable in your professional role. Communication is essential for a functioning partnership between client and assistant. You are attentive and receptive, and show respect for both the client's family and work life. In this role, you function as the client's arms and legs, so it is important that you enjoy physical work. Personal care, physical training, and transfers are daily occurrences. We therefore appreciate that you are in good physical condition. Requirements: You are over 180 cm tall (due to work in the pool) Driver's license and access to a car are required to get to the workplace Non-smoker Merits Experience as a personal assistant Experience in health and care Personal suitability is, however, the most important factor.
