Description
We are looking for a colleague to join the primary level team at Gunnestorpsskolan. The school is located in Tuve on Hisingen and is newly built. It is a pre-K through grade 3 school with 3-4 classes in each grade level. The school opened in August 2026 and has approximately 360 students. Those of us working at the school are committed to leveraging each other's expertise to create the best school and aftercare program for our students.
Job Responsibilities
You will be part of a team of engaged and competent colleagues who recognize that collaboration around the students' entire day is essential for creating continuity and security for both students and adults. We believe you will work to support student development and foster students' social competence. You will work practically with the school's curriculum and support children in their learning. You will collaborate with other school staff to maintain a good teaching and work environment for both students and staff, and you will actively participate in the school's development initiatives. Mentoring is part of your responsibilities.
We welcome both experienced teachers and newly graduated teachers to apply for this position. To ensure the best possible start in your career as a newly graduated teacher, you will participate in the Basic School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for newly graduated teachers. This introduction provides you as a newly graduated teacher with a network of other newly graduated teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.
Qualifications
We are looking for a certified teacher with broad qualifications to teach grades 1-3.
As a person, you have the ability to see both individual and group needs, and you should have the capacity to create a good collaborative climate. You should enjoy working flexibly and believe that student voice is important. Communication skills and ability to collaborate are important qualities. We are looking for someone driven by a passion for developing our primary level students.
