About the Company We are seeking an interim chief executive for a consulting assignment at a government agency in Gothenburg. Job Description As interim chief executive, you will support the organization's management in both strategic and operational matters. The assignment will be carried out in an environment where several change initiatives are running in parallel, and clear leadership is needed to provide direction and drive implementation. Your main areas of responsibility: - Analyze the current situation and identify prioritized initiatives - Support managers in strategic and operational leadership - Drive and coordinate change and development initiatives - Ensure structure, follow-up, and progress in operations - Develop decision-making materials and recommendations for management - Contribute to stability and efficiency in daily operations The work will be performed primarily on-site at the office in the Gothenburg area. Some opportunity for remote work may be available. This is an interim consulting assignment for approximately 1 year with a start in the near future. Qualifications We are looking for a confident and results-oriented leader with documented experience in leading organizations through change. It is further required that you have: - Academic education in leadership, management, logistics, shipping, or equivalent experience - At least two years of experience as an interim chief executive - Documented ability to combine strategic analysis with operational implementation - Experience in change management and organizational development - Strong results from operational management - Experience in developing analyses and decision-making materials for management groups - Ability to drive improvement work in complex organizations Additional merits: - Experience leading other managers - Experience from operations running 24/7, 365 days a year We offer a developmental assignment where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in a socially important operation.
