We're Seeking a Transporter for Transport of Deceased - Örebro Do you want to work in a socially important operation where professionalism, respect, and compassion are always at the center? Begravningsbolaget AB is now seeking a new team member for transporting deceased persons as part of our mission. We're seeking staff for work with transport of deceased persons About the Job - Transport and Care of Deceased When a person passes away, the body must be transported in a dignified and safe manner. This can involve picking up from the place of death to the nearest morgue or transport to the Medical Examiner's office for examination. As a transporter with us, you become part of the entire process surrounding the care of the deceased. The work is always done in teams of two, where you alternate between driver and assistant. You work closely with authorities, municipal facilities, external facilities, and our own funeral homes. Working hours vary and workload can fluctuate between high-intensity periods and quieter shifts. The work also involves responsibility for vehicle maintenance, material handling, and working independently. Job Responsibilities Transport and care of deceased persons Casket placements and assignments for our funeral homes Vehicle maintenance and handling of work and consumable materials Coordination with authorities, healthcare personnel, and next of kin Qualifications High school education or equivalent Class B driver's license (required) and confident driving of larger vehicles Basic computer skills No criminal record and not listed in the police register (screening conducted in accordance with police authority requirements) Good physical health and stable mental state as the work can be both physically demanding and psychologically taxing Meritorious Experience transporting deceased persons Experience from healthcare, care services, transport, or other service-oriented operations Personal Qualities We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for someone who: Has personal maturity and good judgment Is thorough, responsible, and stress-resistant Has good teamwork ability and enjoys working as part of a team Is flexible and can adapt to both intensive and calm work shifts Has good communication skills both verbally and in writing Is empathetic and can treat people in difficult situations with respect and compassion Has an ethical approach and contributes to dignified handling of the deceased Employment Terms We apply individual salary setting in accordance with Transport's guidelines.
