We Are Seeking On-Call Staff as Transportation Personnel for the Transportation of the Deceased - Göteborg Would you like to work in a socially important operation where professionalism, respect, and care always take center stage? Begravningsbolaget AB is now looking for new team members for transporting the deceased as part of our mission. We are seeking staff for work with transportation of the deceased About the Job - Transportation and Care of the Deceased When a person passes away, the body must be transported in a dignified and secure manner. This may involve pickup from the place of death to the nearest morgue or transport to the National Board of Forensic Medicine for examination. As a transporter with us, you will be part of the entire chain surrounding the care of the deceased. The work is always performed in teams of two, where you alternate between driver and assistant. You work closely with authorities, municipal care facilities, and external facilities. Working hours are variable and workload may fluctuate between high-intensity periods and quieter periods. You will work in an on-call group operating from your home according to a schedule, and we prefer that you live in Göteborg. Job Responsibilities Transportation and care of the deceased Coordination with authorities, healthcare personnel, and family members Qualifications High school education or equivalent Class B driver's license (required) and confident in operating larger vehicles Basic computer skills No criminal record and no entry in the police criminal records register (screening conducted in accordance with the Swedish Police Authority's requirements) Good physical health and stable mental health, as the work can be both physically demanding and psychologically challenging Meritorious Experience with transportation of the deceased Experience in healthcare, care services, transportation, or other service-oriented work such as ambulance services or rescue services Personal Qualities We place great importance on personal suitability and are looking for someone who: Has personal maturity and good judgment Is thorough, responsible, and stress-resilient Has good teamwork skills and enjoys working in a team Is flexible and can adapt to both intensive and calm work shifts Has good communication skills, both verbal and written Is empathetic and can treat people in difficult situations with respect and care Has an ethical approach and contributes to dignified handling of the deceased Employment Terms We apply individual salary setting.
