We're looking for you – an engaged and goal-oriented preschool teacher and experienced pedagogical leader with experience leading and developing pedagogical processes. Welcome to Us In Skärholmen's municipal preschools, we always put the child at the center. Our preschools are located in a multicultural area with apartment buildings, townhouses, and single-family homes, and the majority of our children are multilingual. The preschools are led by a principal and a unit manager and have access to quality and education leaders as well as a special educator. In Skärholmen, we have 18 preschools and 3 open preschools. We're now seeking experienced preschool teachers for unit 1, Bredäng preschool area. Your Role In your role as a preschool teacher with us, you'll work to create a safe, fun, and educational preschool. You'll adapt teaching and education to promote each child's development and learning based on their abilities, experiences, and needs. You'll create curiosity and a desire to learn, both during planned activities and spontaneous moments. You'll play an important role in building a good pedagogical environment and have knowledge and ideas about how you, together with your colleagues, will realize the curriculum's goals and values. As a preschool teacher, you'll lead and coordinate the pedagogical work in close collaboration with your team and have good opportunities to influence and develop the operation. Your role includes planning, implementing, documenting, monitoring, and evaluating the preschool's education and instruction. You'll work systematically with observation, reflection, and analysis as a natural part of daily work. You're expected to collaborate with organizations such as the autism center, rehabilitation services, and other external partners in close cooperation with guardians. Your Competence and Experience We're looking for someone with great commitment, curiosity, and a desire to make a difference for the children you meet every day. To be suitable for the position, we require: Preschool teacher certification Good knowledge of child development and learning Good familiarity with the preschool's governing documents and ability to implement their intentions in practice Knowledge of and experience with systematic quality work both for the individual department and for the preschool as a whole Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as basic IT skills It's a merit if you have experience with coordination assignments in preschools. You're well aware that preschool education and instruction should be based on scientific grounds and proven experience, and you practice accordingly. Your Personal Skills and Abilities You're a preschool teacher who constantly wants to develop and learn new things together with children. You adapt teaching and learning to children's individual abilities and meet each child with respect, attentiveness, and humility. With an inclusive approach, you ensure that children are part of a community with other children in the preschool. As a leader, you're proactive, responsible, and organized. You have a holistic view of your role, are clear, and can organize work together with your team. You're confident in your professional role and keep calm even in stressful situations. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and a professional approach and actively contribute to creating good relationships with colleagues, guardians, and external partners.
