My name is Emanuel and I'm looking for a personal assistant who wants to become an important part of my life. For me, assistance is about much more than practical tasks – it's about creating a daily life filled with safety, joy, and experiences.
I'm a happy guy who loves being out in nature. I enjoy walks, water, football, music, and animals. When I'm doing well, I like discovering things together with the people around me. I don't have verbal speech, but don't let that fool you – I communicate clearly in many other ways. Over time, you'll learn to understand my expressions, looks, sounds, and reactions, and you'll notice that we can have fantastic communication.
I'm looking for someone who is calm, positive, secure, and stable. You work independently, can take your own initiative, and are flexible when the day doesn't go exactly as planned. It's important to me that you contribute to a good atmosphere – both with me and in the work team. When everyone is happy, my daily life improves too.
The work includes helping me with personal hygiene, tube feeding via PEG, medications, managing my epilepsy, and documenting what happens during work shifts by keeping journals. Therefore, you need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
Experience with personal assistance is a merit, but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you're committed, willing to learn, and see the person behind the disability. You'll receive the introduction you need to feel secure in your role.
If you think we'd be a good fit together, I hope you apply. Maybe you'll be one of the people who gets to help make my daily life safe, fun, and meaningful – and at the same time get a job where no two days are the same.
About the position:
Part-time with varying work shifts by agreement. 25% and one position at 65-75%. Outdoor activities occur, so you should enjoy being outside and be able to swim. Some physical training is included. A driver's license is a merit but not a requirement.
To thrive and grow in the role of personal assistant, you need to have a well-grounded view of humanity where the equal value of all people is a given.
You have courage, commitment, and a desire to make a difference for someone else.
Good self-awareness, attentiveness, and flexibility are also important qualities.
