We are seeking a licensed healthcare social worker with a shared placement between Solna Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic and the Borderline Unit at Psychiatry Northwest Solna Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic is a general psychiatric outpatient clinic serving all persons over 18 years of age, registered as residents in Stockholm County, who need specialized psychiatric care. The Borderline Unit is a specialized unit within Psychiatry Northwest that treats patients with emotionally unstable personality syndrome and other patients with difficulties in emotional regulation where psychological treatment based on DBT is assessed to be beneficial for the patient. The clinics are part of Psychiatry Northwest, a university clinic in the northwestern part of Stockholm County's healthcare region (SLSO). We are a pleasant workplace with high competence in beautifully renovated premises at Sankt Eriksgatan 125 in Vasastan. Both clinics are located in the same building, on the same floor. In the same building there are also several other clinic units such as the OCD unit, Mobile Acute, and the Consultation Unit as well as the Affective Outpatient Clinic. At Solna Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic, we work interdisciplinarily in treatment teams where we are divided into three different base teams and one neuropsychiatric team. The teams consist of psychologists, nurses, doctors, and a shared social worker who is also a rehabilitation coordinator. We primarily treat patients with affective disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and neuropsychiatric (NP) disabilities. We place great emphasis on assessment/diagnosis and evidence-based treatment where we offer a broad range of treatments. The Borderline Unit is a specialized, smaller unit within Psychiatry Northwest that conducts DBT (dialectical behavior therapy). Here work five psychologists and one senior physician. The unit is currently in an exciting development process where treatment of PTSD will also constitute a significant part of the treatment offering. Job responsibilities: The position involves tasks where you, together with a colleague social worker, contribute to the teams with your expertise and knowledge of psychosocial treatment work. This is done both through individual patient contacts, both physical visits and through digital tools, as well as visits together with other healthcare personnel to guide patients to other parts of society for further support. This can involve collaboration with social services and the Social Insurance Agency and, for example, applications within the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Disability Services Act (LSS) to meet our patients' needs for services. Furthermore, you provide guidance and information to other staff, patients, and relatives regarding questions about social legislation and other societal resources. Employment type: Permanent employment, full-time (40:00 hours/week), with start date by agreement. The distribution of the position to Solna Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic is approximately 70% and to the Borderline Unit approximately 30%. Qualifications: Social worker and licensed healthcare social worker with experience working as a healthcare social worker. We would like you to have experience working within municipal and psychiatric activities, occupational rehabilitation, and work with psychosocial issues. It is also advantageous if you have previous experience working in interdisciplinary teams.
