The current position is organized under the City Environment Unit but you will also work with the Planning Unit. Both of these units are part of the Society operation and work closely together on urban development issues and Ängelholm's overall development. The City Environment Unit, a contracting organization with 20 employees, is responsible for planning, design and maintenance of public spaces. The Planning Unit, with approximately ten planning architects and one administrator, focuses on detailed planning according to the Planning and Building Act for sustainable urban development. We see an increased focus in the area where we currently have one Landscape Architect, and with this recruitment, this will be expanded to two. The work involves collaboration with project managers, developers, authorities, colleagues and other municipal units. We look forward to welcoming you to our team! 1 position(s). WORK TASKS The role requires you to have a trained eye for design and broad experience in developing public spaces. Together with team members and our City Architect, you will create places with a focus on quality and sustainability. You will have an important role in developing and contributing to a coherent urban development chain, from early planning to implementation, where your focus will be our shared spaces such as squares, parks and streets. You will have a central role in shaping and developing public spaces and through this, in a creative way, create and enable our public spaces to become beautiful, safe and accessible. Together with our operations engineers, you will ensure that the design meets maintenance and operations that can be implemented and that is sustainable and economically advantageous. You contribute with your expertise to a holistic perspective to find sustainable and good solutions for Ängelholm's urban development. As a landscape architect with us, you will be a creative hub and key person in a wide variety of projects. Main work tasks: - Participate in early stages, pre-studies and detailed plans to ensure good design and planning. - Design responsibility for investment projects. - Lead and participate in investigations, for example regarding concept sketches, design and technical requirements. - Present ongoing work to the unit, administration, board and municipal council. Together, we at the City Environment and Planning Units contribute to developing an attractive and sustainable Ängelholm, and we see that you have an important role to fill. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is creative, meticulous, communicative and has a great understanding of how good design can improve and contribute to function, aesthetics, usability and added value for public spaces. You have a good eye for detail and you find solutions to complex urban development problems. We believe you have a five-year landscape architecture education or equivalent that we assess as equivalent. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement. Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, is a merit. We consider it necessary that you have good knowledge of various software such as Autodesk AutoCAD, Office package, Adobe suite Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. Knowledge of SketchUp, Enscape and 3D design is a merit. You work well both in groups and individually and you are used to pedagogically expressing and communicating verbally, in writing and visually with politicians, developers and colleagues. We place great importance on personal suitability, and if you have previous experience of municipal work, it is a merit but not a requirement.
