Your Responsibilities

We are now recruiting a Senior Accounting Assistant for our client in Södermanlands county. In this role, you will have independent responsibility for ongoing accounting and become an important part of the finance department. You will work closely with the finance manager and serve as qualified support to both the business operations and your colleagues in finance.
About the position:
As a Senior Accounting Assistant, you are responsible for ensuring a correct and efficient accounting process. You work both operationally and with a development focus, contributing to improved routines and creating efficient financial processes.
Your responsibilities:
-Manage customer and supplier accounts receivable/payable.
-Perform reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
-Handle VAT reporting and basic tax matters.
-Work with accruals and monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
-Prepare payment proposals and conduct bank reconciliations.
-Participate in audits and prepare requested documentation.
-Identify and drive improvements in financial processes and internal procedures.
-Collaborate with operations and external parties on financial matters.
Your Profile
-Upper secondary education with an economic focus or post-secondary education in economics or accounting.
-At least 3–8 years of experience in qualified accounting work.
-Documented experience with independent closing procedures.
-Strong knowledge of VAT reporting, account reconciliations, and tax handling.
-Experience with modern ERP and accounting systems.
-Excellent Swedish language skills, both written and spoken.

After 6–12 months in the role, you are expected to:
-Independently manage ongoing accounting within your area of responsibility.
-Deliver correct financial statements according to established schedules.
-Contribute to more efficient financial processes and improved procedures.
-Be a natural support and knowledge resource for colleagues.
-Actively contribute to the organization's financial quality and continued development.
