Do you want to lead an important public service and make a real difference? The Income Support Services unit within social services works every day to strengthen people's opportunities for self-sufficiency and independent living. Now that our valued unit manager is retiring, we're looking for you to take over and lead a secure, competent, and dedicated operation forward. Responsibilities As unit manager for Income Support Services, you will lead a team of approximately 20 skilled employees. You have overall responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances – but also an important role in driving development and creating conditions for quality and sustainable working methods. Your responsibilities include: Leading, supporting, and developing employees in their important work Managing budget, follow-up, statistics, and analysis Driving strategic development work in line with new legislation and political decisions Collaborating broadly – both internally within the municipality and externally with other stakeholders You will be part of the management team for the Adult Support Department, where you work with experienced colleagues on both strategic and operational matters. The unit also has a team leader who supports daily operations and works closely with you in leadership. Why Choose Us You make a real difference. You have a degree in social work or other relevant higher education that the employer considers appropriate. Previous experience as a manager and/or in authority work within social services is considered a merit. As a leader, you are: Secure, clear, and stable Strategic with a good overall perspective Relationship-building and trust-based in your leadership approach You are comfortable with responsibility, can work independently, and have strong ability to use statistics and analysis as a basis for decisions and development. Finance is a natural part of your role, and you are responsible for ensuring operations are conducted within budget. A Class B driver's license is required.
