The Care Chain Gothenburg is part of the Salvation Army's social work in Sweden, and serves men aged 21 and older with social problems and/or substance abuse issues. We offer placements both in our drug-tolerant housing at Lilla Bommen and at Nylösegården/Slussen, our motivational residences, where we work with those who need support in preventing relapse and support on the path to a functioning, drug-free life.

Your Role
As a supervisor, you are the employees' direct manager and have a central role in leading, organizing, and developing daily operations. You are responsible for creating structure, quality, and good conditions for the operation's mission. You ensure that the operation is conducted according to applicable framework agreements, legislation, guidelines, and the operation's procedures.
The position is varied and combines management, administrative tasks, and hands-on pedagogical work, which means you may also need to work in daily operations.
You are part of the operation's management team together with operations managers and other supervisors.
As a supervisor, you have a combined role where you both lead staff and work practically in the operation. You have an important role in creating structure, quality, and a good work climate.
Responsibilities
Your tasks will include:
- Leading, planning, and allocating daily work
- Leading methodology meetings and other meetings
- Implementing, following up on, and developing procedures and work methods
- Supporting staff with documentation, implementation plans, and pedagogical work
- Assisting with staffing and introducing new employees
- Performing administrative tasks, such as requests, orders, and assisting with invoicing
- Contributing to operation development and quality work
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Substituting for other supervisors as needed
Your Competence and Experience
We are looking for someone with a university degree in social or pedagogical work and documented experience of several years in a supervisory role and within this field of operation.
You should have experience with administrative tasks, operational systems, and good computer skills.
Good knowledge of social documentation.
You should have strong ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
It is a merit if you have experience with quality work.
Requirement: a valid driver's license (category B) and an extract from the police's suspicion and criminal records registry.

We are looking for a confident and clear leader with good ability to collaborate.
You should be able to work independently, take responsibility, and drive the work forward.
You need to be able to make well-founded decisions in daily work and take responsibility for following up on what needs to be done.
You should have a good ability to plan, prioritize, and adapt your work based on the operation's needs. You should actively seek new knowledge, apply it in practical work, and ask for support when needed.
You need the ability to create engagement, participation, and a good work climate while being clear in your expectations and following up on daily work in a structured manner.
You are experienced in meeting individuals with mental health issues and have experience working with people in vulnerable situations.
If you have the ability to motivate others from an empathetic, supportive approach and be a good role model, you will thrive with us.

The Position
Working hours: daytime, Monday-Friday (other schedules may occur)
An ongoing position is preceded by a 6-month probationary period.
