About Us Svensk Naturvård AB is a small consulting company specializing in nature conservation. We work on manual and practical conservation projects, primarily in the public sector and almost exclusively in nature reserves or other protected natural areas. As a consultant with us, you'll be part of a great and inclusive work team. Today, the team consists of five full-time employees plus seasonal staff. About the Position We're seeking a motivated and engaged employee for a conservation project in a nature reserve outside Tierp. The position is primarily full-time, but flexibility is possible. Work is performed on foot and by boat on islands in the nature reserve and involves mainly felling spruce trees with a chainsaw, as well as ring-barking trees to promote large oaks and deciduous forests. The terrain is partially difficult to navigate, so good physical fitness and experience with fieldwork are important. Work tasks include: Felling spruce trees with a chainsaw Edge-barking and ring-barking of trees Work in varying and sometimes difficult-to-navigate terrain, including boat transportation Qualifications Requirements: Chainsaw operator certificate (minimum level AB) Access to your own vehicle and residence near Tierp Basic knowledge of species – ability to identify common tree and shrub species, even without leaves Experience working with a chainsaw Good physical fitness and enjoyment of working outdoors in the field Strong teamwork skills and professional conduct Fluent in Swedish or English Category B driver's license Meritorious: Chainsaw operator certificate level C Brush cutter certificate (minimum level RA) Relevant education in biology Experience with conservation work in reserves or similar environments What Do We Offer?
