The Division for Disabilities and Permanent Work Incapacity administers a large number of social security benefits, including assistance compensation, sickness and activity benefits, and work injury insurance compensation. The Legal Support business area is responsible for reconsideration, legal proceedings, and case-related legal support. This business area is a driving force in the legal quality work of the division. Our legal support operations are conducted at two units, which are now being strengthened with additional colleagues. We are located in several places throughout the country and currently have approximately 20 experienced and dedicated lawyers working with us. Legal Support, Development and Collaboration Working as a divisional legal counsel within an insurance division involves special responsibility for correct and uniform application of social security and other applicable legislation. Based on legal governance, you are responsible for monitoring legal developments in the insurance area where you work. By providing close legal support on administrative law matters to the insurance area's employees and to development activities, you contribute to good legal quality. You support managers and employees in legal matters and share your knowledge. You contribute to good collaboration both within the division and with other divisions, including the authority's legal department. As a lawyer, you handle classified information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you have a high level of security awareness. We are looking for someone who has a law degree (juris kandidat) or equivalent legal qualification is a notary qualified or has other equivalent professional experience acts on own initiative and takes responsibility for high-quality results has a systematic and careful work approach can understand and analyze complex issues communicates clearly, distinctly and in a structured manner in both speech and writing collaborates effectively to achieve common goals. It is meritorious if you have good knowledge of administrative law and social security law have good knowledge of public access and confidentiality, other administrative law including data protection issues have experience leading projects and good pedagogical skills have knowledge in operations development. Some positions with us involve participation in security-sensitive activities. To be employed in such a position, a passed security vetting under the Security Protection Act (2018:585) is required.
