We offer a permanent position with primary placement at the Rheumatology Clinic. The position also includes occupational therapy services at the Pain Unit based on the unit's and patients' needs. The Rheumatology Clinic and Pain Unit are two of several operations within the Heart, Neurology, and Rehabilitation area. Our operations are conducted at Remonthagen, located approximately 2 km from Östersunds Hospital. Östersunds Rehabcentrum also includes a rehabilitation medicine department and a rehabilitation medicine clinic. The Rheumatology Clinic is a specialist clinic for evaluation, care, and treatment of patients with confirmed or suspected rheumatic inflammatory disease. The unit consists of extensive outpatient services and has access to inpatient beds at the rehabilitation department when needed for inpatient care. The team is multidisciplinary and includes physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers, medical secretaries, and assistant nurses at the in-house laboratory. Outpatient care is provided through individual visits, day care, and certain group activities. The Pain Unit is a specialist unit working with medically fully evaluated adult patients with chronic benign pain. It is a small unit with close decision-making that operates from a biopsychosocial perspective with the patient in focus. The team consists of a multidisciplinary group with physicians, psychologists, physical therapists, medical secretaries, and social workers. Occupational therapy expertise is brought to the team based on patients' needs. The Pain Unit has a consultative role in the region. We offer individual assessments and treatments with both pharmacological and behavioral medicine interventions. 1 position(s). DUTIES With us, you will work in a multidisciplinary organization. The main duties are to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate based on the occupational therapy process. Interventions are based on unit-specific direction and national guidelines as well as person-centered care pathways. As an occupational therapist with us, the position is based at the Rheumatology Clinic but you will also work at the Pain Unit based on the unit's and patients' needs. Both units are located under the same roof and led by the same manager. In nearby operations, occupational therapy colleagues work and procedures exist for collaboration on common issues. The occupational therapist's role is based on teamwork which can lead to different occupational therapy interventions based on the patient's needs. To increase the person's knowledge through educational efforts regarding factors that promote or hinder activity. As an occupational therapist at the Rheumatology Clinic, you are also responsible for interventions aimed at promoting the best possible activity capacity and participation in daily life as well as maintaining and strengthening the patient's function. The work requires high demands for independence, responsibility, and flexibility. At the same time, we value good collaboration skills and active participation in the team's joint work. You contribute your occupational therapy expertise both in daily teamwork and in development projects within the operational area. Within both units, there are good opportunities to be involved in developing the occupational therapist's role and function to meet future needs for both patients and operations. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist. Meriting factors include several years of professional experience, experience working in teams, and interest or experience in rheumatological rehabilitation and/or chronic pain. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. We see that you have good collaboration skills, good ability to plan and structure your work, and engagement in patient work and operational development. A driver's license is desirable.
