Air Combat School (LSS) is the Swedish Air Force's shared competence center for education and development. At LSS are the Air Force's schools, the Air Force's development unit, and the Swedish Armed Forces Dog Service Unit. LSS plays a crucial role in the development and growth of the future air force. The Swedish Armed Forces Dog Service Unit is now seeking a Veterinary Administrator for the Breeding Department in Sollefteå.
About the Unit:
The Swedish Armed Forces Dog Service Unit (FHTE) is tasked with providing service dogs to the Swedish Armed Forces' continuously active military units and to the Police. The Breeding Department in Sollefteå is responsible for, among other things, conducting breedings, care and handling of breeding dogs and puppies, recruitment of foster families, placement of puppies with foster families, and providing support to foster families. The foster family activities are divided into six regions where work is led and distributed by a regional Dog Section Chief. FHTE has over 300 active foster families and about 30 foster family consultants throughout the country who, together with the foster families, create conditions for puppies to develop in the right direction for a future life as service dogs.
Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for administration of the department's veterinary medical operations
Responsible for administration of the department's dog records and documentation
Responsible for registration of puppies with SKK and the Board of Agriculture
Assist the department's veterinarian with advice and appointment scheduling
Support the department's expeditionary handling of documents, mail and key management, and archive services
Support the department's record keeping and record management
Support other administrative tasks within the department such as meeting scheduling, visitor reception, telephone coverage, meeting preparations, etc.
Support administration of the department's finance and invoice management
Support orders and purchases for the department
Contribute to development and improvement of administrative routines within the department
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent education/experience that the employer deems equivalent
Current experience with administrative work
Very good computer skills and good knowledge of the Office suite and administrative systems
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written
Class B driver's license

Meritorious:
Certified animal health technician with experience in record management
Experience with procurement and good knowledge of medicines and medical supplies
Experience with advice and ability to distinguish between acute/non-acute sick animals
Experience with administrative systems such as PRIO/SAP, Sharepoint, and invoice management
Knowledge of care hygiene
Experience conducting improvement projects
Experience from the Swedish Armed Forces or other state operations
Military driving authorization for passenger cars and minibuses
